NeedyMeds works with a number of PAPs. We are frequently asked about the problems advocates encounter when using PAPs. We can use your input - tell us the problems you run into. No guarantees - but maybe we can help with some of them.

I think the only problem I run into with patient assistance programs is the rapid rate of change in program eligiblity, form updates, and discontinuation of programs. Would be nice if there was someway of networking a huge community of information, alerts via email for when changes have occured....
is this next to impossible to do?
at the moment, I am looking once a month for updates in applications, eligibility status, etc.....which does take awhile since there are a large amount of psychotropics with programs (thank goodness!!!!)...

Your problem is a common one. We are changing and updating our data everyday.

Sophi has a forum here where she posts updates. That's one way for you to know what's changed.

We are looking into other methods of keeping advocates current.

Sometime in the future could there possibly be one application that satisfies all the Pharmaceutical Companies? Thank you.

The idea has been around for a long time. Many pharmaceutical companies are worried about antitrust violations. But I think there are other problems.

I don't see a consensus by the companies on what information they need to make a decision. Some companies are concerned that the requested drug is being used only for approved uses while others don't seem to be as concerned.
